When HE asked me out!

Mark 6: 8 (These were his instructions: “Take nothing for the journey except a staff—no bread, no bag, no money in your belts.)

An ideal date for me and many girls out there is, once in a while her prince charming hold her hand and take her to a nice restaurant by the beach side, good food, preferably live music. Followed by a long walk on the beach, talking about random stuff, life, passions, goals, ambitions, adventures and then sit quietly on the beach listening to the waves, and looking at the moon
(Hint – “He who has ears to hear, let him hear,”.. 😉

5 years ago my prince charming took my hand and asked me out, since then all the calendar dates have amazed me. We had fairly nice food, heard music, walked and talked a lot, felt few waves, sometimes just stared that moon, sun, stars and blue sky. Every day can’t be the same, hence I wrote the above lines on an average basis. Once in a while when we glance those past days, we are amazed and it feels good, the reason is obvious that we are enjoying each other than the above mentioned elements of a ideal date situation. Take one of us out from that romantic set up, the whole story would be different.

In this journey of our life with our Heavenly Father, world throws situations like – no bread (satisfaction or strength), no bag (protection or security), no money (wealth or resources), and no extra cloth (prestige or dignity). But, we should enjoy Him rather than the beach, music, food, waves, the Sun and the Moon. We should realize that if we were alone in this, the narration of this story won’t be the same.

So once in a while pause and answer His question – “When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?” our answer will always be “No Dear Nothing,”. No matter what, this journey with Him is amazingly awesome!
Luke 22: 35 (And he said unto them When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said Nothing.)
