Mark 5: 27 – 30
27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.
30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?
That day on the way to Jairus’s house a great multitude followed him. Many touched him, there were sick, sinners, seekers, observers, healthy, wealthy, educated, religious and many more. But one particular touch was different. He asked His Disciples “who touched me?” Their response was!
Mark 5: 31
31 “You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ”
That touch was the touch of Faith. When this faith touched His dress, the power was transferred to that body and made her whole.
The power went from the source of the power to the powerless.
“Here I got a clearer picture of heat conduction #throwbackphysicsclass, nostalgic moment.”
As of August 2018, the total population of the world exceeds 7.63 billion people, and this number is continuing to grow each day. A touch on this rectangular glass frame (Infinity display – a bezel-less, full-frontal, edge-to-edge screen) in my hand gives me a statistics of my social media handles, LinkedIn – 500+, Face-book – 1000+, Instagram – 400+, and counting. But none of them handles me when I am weak. When anxiety engrosses me. When I feel as the only one struggling with an unorganized, unworkable, unsortable kind of brain sheet. When I hear the news that my loved one or known suddenly no more here on this earth. 31 years of cluelessness that next moment not sure if I will be here or not.
Now me sitting here with a cup of black coffee guessing if the creator of the universe knows me or not? No, I have not heard a sound with some light saying “Yes, sweety I know you”
But, Of course, He knows me very well, looking back at instances in my life, those crossroads of life, those lonely moments, that day when I was on the roads of UAE walking alone with astonishment, expectations, requests, daydreams and my trademark cluelessness, He was just there by my side.
And as I touch with this faith, I get my surety that this spiritual handle is my source of power and my ultimate destination. That is not a clue it’s an answer to myself. The vague unclear picture of mine has been made whole and in this crowd of 7.63 billion people I am very distinct to Him, He recognizes that touch of my faith and shares the power.
So stretch out your hand of faith and touch the ultimate source of all supreme power.
