The “Wait”!

Then Naomi said, “Wait, my daughter, until you find out what happens. For the man will not rest until the matter is settled today.” – Ruth 3:18

I am learning the value of the feeling called “ Wait”, It’s painful, seems never-ending, no idea what will happen. But as the psalmist says in Psalms 27:14 “Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD”.

Six years back, one particular day I accompanied my grandmother for her regular checkup. The queue was long and we realized we will have to wait for long.

Slowly my grandmother started engaging with most of the people waiting there, encouraging them, asking them about their kids, their family, house and many others things. They were also equally involved. Then she introduced me to them very proudly and told them that, my fiance would be coming to meet us. She was totally blushing,  I was nothing less, having that pale blushing moment with nervousness and excitement. (Oh yaa, that was our 1st sneaky – peaky date with full support from my grandmother, that day I received my first gift from him.. yeeeaah!

After a good 2 hours of wait, we met the doctor. But that two hours wait in a hospital waiting room was the most happening wait I had till date.

I realized, it happened because of our engagement with the people, knowing them, sharing with them and I will cherish that wait for my rest of the life as one of the amazing experience. That experience turned out to be this lovely because at the end we met the doctor and got a good report, the bonus was I met my love! All went good and wonderful.

Now the holy spirit is teaching me that, this life is like a waiting room and we are going to meet our savior, It will be worth the long wait of a lifetime if we receive a good report.

Whatever we do in this time are our engagements, we are supposed to get engaged in different activities, with different people, and enjoy the moments to the fullest!

So, I believe and I am confident of this, that HE who began a good work in me will carry it on to completion until THAT DAY. Then I will look back and cherish this Journey with my Father.
