And Abraham said,”My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering”, so the two of them went together. (Genesis 22:8)
Though this is the only conversation between the father and the son in this chapter of the Bible, but I am sure this Father-Son duo had a very strong bonding. Abraham has already introduced the Heavenly Father and His providence to his beloved son (Issac).
As a child my favorite and most cherished time was having long walks and story session with papa. He used to narrate Bible stories and also his stories with his heavenly Father, How God was with him when everyone left him, How God provided everything needed at His due time and numerous!
Now when difficult situations arise, life brings confusion, I ask papa ..”Now what?” “How will this work?”,”How can I get that?” for all of these questions, even if he doesn’t have any clue.. with a sober composure he answers ” God will provide”. His answer is always like a remainder of that blessed assurance of God’s provision, with that assurance MY JOURNEY WITH MY FATHER continues..
